THE RESTAURANT
Chiang Mai’s cool mornings encourage lingering on our British colonial consulate-turned-restaurant’s tree-shaded wooden deck over tropical fruits and juices, fresh from the oven-baked goods and hot mains made to order.
Lunch and dinner are equally East-meets-West, with contemporary takes on a world of classics. Our carbonara-filled ravioli arrives with parmesan ice cream and homemade croutons, and the locally raised duck confit is served on a salad of fresh mozzarella, mini tomatoes and orange flesh in a Japanese sake dressing. The Restaurant is Chiang Mai’s only luxury resort serving authentic Indian cuisine including favourites such as murgh makhani, buttered chicken in a tomato-cashew nut sauce. Authentic Korean dishes such as hwaro, self-grilled prime tenderloin and sirloin beef, can also be found in The Restaurant’s menu.
Between mealtimes, the shaded verandah beckons for The Chedi Chiang Mai’s high tea. A plentiful tower of savoury snacks and sweet treats arrives to accompany Old England’s favourite afternoon sip served in traditional blue and white. To take the edge off any afternoon heat, add a scoop or two of our popular homemade ice creams & sorbets.
The Restaurant features live music nightly. Gluten-free, lactose-free, halal and kosher options are always available.
