KECAK DANCE AND DINNER
Ubud is the cultural center of Bali and famous for its dances, and The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah is proud to host a dance troupe of boys and men from the local community who perform the Kecak dance. Enjoy a spectacular performance of dance to the chanting of anywhere between eighty and a hundred men at our outdoor candle-lit amphitheater, followed by a Royal Balinese Dinner at The Restaurant.
Performances are held every Tuesday and Friday at 7:00 pm during the dry season (between April - November).
IDR 550,000 per person with dinner, excluding beverages
IDR 350,000 per person without dinner
BARBECUE AT THE GARDENS
Our green thumb gardeners cleared knee high brush, pruned wildly overgrown bitter nut and snake fruit trees, planted individual grass roots, and custom built a balé-style roasting pit to create Barbecue at The Gardens, our new intimate space for casual, starlit dining opening 25th August 2012.
Join Executive Chef Dean Nor who pit-roasts 'Babi Guling', a traditional Balinese suckling pig marinated in herbs and spices for 24 hours, grills lamb chops with herbs from our thriving gardens, and bakes campfire potatoes amidst this woodland setting. Take a seat at the rough-hewn wooden benches and tables lit by traditional Balinese torches under swaying umbul-umbul flags amidst our tropical forest.
Dig into salads, grill, desserts, non-alcoholic beverages, and beer all included for IDR 650,000 per person and IDR 250,000 per child, every Sunday night at 7:00 pm weather permitting.
RICE PADDY ROMANCE
Let us arrange a dining experience for you at a private pavilion looking over the rice fields to celebrate a special occasion, or just as a treat for a loved one. Choose from our four menus or tell us what to prepare, to make your evening even more special.

24-hour advance notice is recommended
INDONESIAN RIJSTTAFEL
So impressed were Dutch settlers by Indonesia’s delicious flavours that they adapted many as an elaborate ritual meal known as rijsttafel, a Dutch word that literally translates as ‘rice table.’ Luckily for modern food aficionados, rijsttafel survived Indonesia’s independence and today consists of small side dishes that convey the archipelago’s many taste sensations, textures and degrees of spiciness. Indonesian rijsttafel at The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah pays homage to this rich culinary tradition, with nine classic and sumptuous Indonesian and Balinese dishes available for lunch or dinner, and served at The Restaurant or in your villa for a minimum of two persons.
IDR 600,000 per couple, excluding beverages
COOKING WITH CHEF DEAN
Surrounded by Ubud’s nutrient rich paddy fields and our own organic gardens, The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah provides a uniquely inspiring ‘classroom’ for serious chefs and curious cooks alike. Leave with edible memories, easy to follow recipes, your Chedi Club apron, a certificate and special gift from the chef. Group and private classes start from 11:00 am followed by self-cooked lunch.
