Transportation
Complimentary transfers between the international airport and The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah are included in your room rate and we will also be happy to arrange for local transport to and from our sister hotel, The Legian Bali on Seminyak Beach as well as into Ubud. There, you will find plenty of non-metered taxis, for which we recommend negotiating the fare in advance. Rental cars and motorbikes are another popular means of local transportation.

Weather
Bali’s climate is driest between June and September. Ubud’s higher elevation helps take the edge off Bali’s equatorial swelter when the isle is at its warmest.

Tipping
Balinese will not expect tips, though at restaurants around the island a 5-10% gesture will certainly be appreciated. At The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah, we automatically include a service charge, which will be distributed evenly amongst staff so it’s not necessary to tip directly unless you wish to recognise individual staff members.
