Sightseeing
Doha’s photogenic charms flourish along the coastline promenade known as the Corniche. Sip Arabic coffee then board a wooden dhow to admire the sun set into the Arabian Gulf. Wander as well the pedestrian piazzas of the Qanat Quartier, lined with candy-coloured buildings and gracefully arched bridges spanning Venice-inspired canals. Locals know Qatar offers just as many natural attractions.
A breath-taking landscape of brilliant blue sea and 40-meter high sand dunes, Khor al Udaid Beach, also known as the Inland Sea is bliss for birdwatchers with its flamingos, osprey, terns and cormorants. Venture by safari jeep deeper into Qatar’s desert sand dunes, stopping for lunch at a traditional Bedouin camp.
