Live In Sharjah
Sharjah is the third largest of the UAE’s seven emirates, with a population of 1.275 million. Around 80% are expatriates; many work in Dubai yet choose to live in neighbouring Sharjah for its family-friendly lifestyle and cultural attractions, such as its Arabic architecture and Islamic museums.
The only emirate to border the Arabian Gulf Coast and the Gulf of Oman, Sharjah abounds with outdoor activities and beaches where swimwear is acceptable. However, it is appropriate to dress modestly in public places. While Sharjah is a ‘dry’ emirate, meaning the sale or consumption of alcohol is prohibited, Sharjah exudes the fabled hospitality of this ancient region.
